Add a logfile functionality?
Reported by Alex "Alexspeed" Bachner | December 2nd, 2009 @ 08:35 PM
This is a suggestion.
Would it be viable to implement a log-file functionality, like
the daupdater it has?
like a logfile that gets written in a seperate window and can be
printed to a .txt file.
I think that would be a good thing to have if there are problems
with any operations by the application, be it installing or
uninstalling or whatever.
It could get overwritten in a similar manner like the actual backup
of the addins.xml file.
would be maybe usefull for testing too.
i wonder that this hasnt been suggested allready.

Ive thought about it and i want to add that i think the seperate window that shows the logfile is not really needed,
i would say treat it like a comfort option that could be done but has a low priority.A tab next to the Install/Uninstall Tab could provide the home for a logfile backup window very similar to the backup/restore tab.
just save the last 10/20/whatever logs and add the option to open them from this window.with a rightclick menue or a doubleklick.something along that should provide sufficient. just wanted to throw my ideas around =)
