Mod runs with DAUpdater, doesn't with DAModder

Reported by John Vanderbeck | December 1st, 2009 @ 11:19 PM | in Beta 2

Okay, I did this twice to make sure.

I'm working on a mod which inserts a merchant into the camp and such, as per your tutorials, offering a few custom retextures. It doesn't work terribly wonderfully right now because the toolset creates the dazip and leaves all the actual texture related out for some reason-- BUT. That's not what this is about :)

When I install the mod with DAUpdater, and go to my camp, it says "A stranger has appeared.." and the guy (albeit with only a head, since he's wearing the retextured gear) is in the camp. But with DAmodder, nothing. I can't quite tell the difference looking through the files installed as they appear the same; notably the prcscr file IS there, and the ncs that it calls to insert the guy is too.

The attached is the mod in question which should (I hope) show the difference in behavior in a reproducible way.

This bug occurs because the mod contains more files than were initially believed to be in a packaged mod.

Will need to re-write CopyModFiles() to account for unexpected files.

Changing milestone to beta 3, as this will not be a blocker for beta 2.

This core issue has been exposed in two other bug reports, and as such I am escalating this to be a Beta 2 blocker.

    Fixed in Beta 1.3
Completely re-wrote CopyModFiles() to be more flexible, and it should now account for ALL mod files. This will also allow for non-standard mods to be installed.
