double installs of the same mod

As it is now, beta 1.9.6, it is possible to install the same mod more than once, the files get overwritten but the entry in the addins.xml gets duplicated and so also the entry in the installed mod-list-window. Is there a way to prevent this or atleast make a check for the mod if one with exactly the same name and version is allready installed?

- Tag changed from “feature_request, information_display, modinstall, ui” to “blocker, feature_request, information_display, modinstall, ui”
That actually exposes a larger problem I hadn't even thought about -- upgrading mods.

- State changed from “open” to “resolved”
(from [77]) - If the user attempts to install a mod that is already installed, they will be asked if they want to uninstall the existing version before installing the new one. This must be done, and if the user chooses not to uninstall then the install will abort. This resolves issue #72 [#72 state:resolved]
