1.9.1: Installing 'override' style mod is unclear

Reported by Celendis | December 7th, 2009 @ 09:42 PM

When installing an "override" style mod by dragging a zip onto DAModder, a great window pops up where I fill out the needful. I then click "Install". I expected the mod to install at that point. However, the mod does not appear in the override directory until I press "Install Mod" in the main DAModder window.

Yes this is listed as a known issue in the release notes :D

If you drag a Core Override mod .ZIP that is not compatible with DAModder, the application will try to determine the basics that it needs, UID & Title from the name of the zip file. It will then open a dialog asking you to verify what it picked, and edit or add new details if you desire. The button at the bottom of that dialog says "Install", but when you click it, the mod does not install. You still need to click Install back on the main screen, just like normal. This is obviously a confusing UI issue and will be ironed out.

    • State changed from “new” to “resolved”

This should be more clear now in 1.9.2 and later. Closing this ticket.
