Dragon Age Origins Mods

I drag and drop the downloaded mod that I want, but there is always a message that says "No valid mod data was found at the specified folder" the mod is from nexus mods. I also tried various other downloaded mods with drag and drop. I tried the select folder option and my downloaded mods don't show up as an option. Also I tried extracting the zip file, which contains various folders and it just isn't working.
