"Select Mod Folder" installation method is not working

Reported by Alex "Alexspeed" Bachner | December 4th, 2009 @ 12:28 AM

This is from Beta 1.7.2

When you install a mod, you have 2 options to point the DAModder to the location of the unzipped Modfiles,
Select the location of the Folder with the button or drag the folder into the window.

The drag and drop version workes like a charm.
But when you press the Button "Select Mod Folder" and you select the correct folder in the popup window,
the mod info gets readed and accepted into the info window but it dosent store the location or something.
becouse there is no filepath after you select it with this method. (with drag and drop the filepath is there)
So when you hit then "Install Mod" you get an error: "You must first select a mod to install...ect"
The screen i have added is from the state after the mod-folder is selected via the button.
this happens with every mod you try to install with button-select. (i tried out 6 or 7 different ones)

Sorry i didnt discover this earlier but i was allways dragging and dropping and just now tried an install with the button-folderselect.

Not sure how relevant this is, i guess it will be gone anyway when you implement the direct unpacking of .dazips.

Funny enough, the only way that I am even able to install mods with DAModder, is if I name the folder 'damodder'. With any other name, it just give me the error window "No valid mod data was found at the specified location".

    • State changed from “new” to “resolved”

(from [36]) Fixed issue with no mod path being set when choosing a mod via the folder browser instead of drag and drop. This resolves issue #45 [#45 state:resolved]
