Allow for sub packages
Reported by John Vanderbeck | December 1st, 2009 @ 11:36 PM | in Beta 3
John,
Just a selfish request here which might actually benefit other
users and
modders in the future;
Allow for a set of selection boxes to be checked/unchecked
during
installation of a mod in which the player can select what to
install and
what not. My mod has 5 "Packages" right now to meet the needs of
many of the
mod users. It will likely grow into a mod with between 8 and 15
Packages, it
would be really great if DAModder allowed for players to simply
select which
packages they want to install when running the installation file.
Of course,
this could be helpful for a lot of mod makers, including "sub
packages"
which fix compatibility issues between some of the larger OC mods
out there.
Just a thought, hope you like it

thats what the configure button under the modlist would be used for if i am not mistaken?
has this button now any functionality in beta 1.6 or is it just a blind one? -

Actually the Configure tab was originally designed to work with mods that use DragonAge.ini to be configurable, like Auto Loot for example.
I had not originally thought about mods providing different packages to install so this is something that I need to spend some time thinking about.
